Welcome
Hi! My name is Erin Meachum Lewis, and I'm a fourth year PhD candidate at NC State University in the Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development program with a focus in Higher Education.
Full-time, I work at Appalachian State University as the director of the newly created Professional Studies Program located at the Hickory campus. Previously, I worked as a lecturer at the Agricultural Institute at NC State University where I taught writing and other courses. I also co-developed the Agricultural Institute Internship program with Dr. Alyssa Degreenia in 2015.
I hold a master’s degree in English with a concentration in Rhetoric and Composition from NC State University and a bachelor’s degree in English and Comparative Literature and a minor in Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Outside the office, you can find me on the beach volleyball court, the rock climbing gym, or at my monthly book club!
